Opis:

Los Pirineos farma je že več kot 120 let v lasti družine Baraona, ki so se v El Salvador preselili že leta 1880. Zdajšni lastnik farme Gilberto predstavlja tretjo generacijo družine Baraona in je zasnoval ter zgradil najsodobnejši mlin za obdelavo specialty kave v celotnem Salvadorju.

Farma se nahaja na vrhu vulkana Tecapa, v regiji Tecapa Chinameca, na okoli 1450 nadmorske višine. Farma je specializirana v pridelavo sorte Bourbon in Pacamara saj je podedovala najstarejše sadike Bourbonove sorte v državi. Prav tako je farma poskusno uvaja in goji več novih sort kot so Orange Pacamara, Geisha, Bourbon Elite, Bourbon Laurina, Java in Kenija vključno s sorto F1.

Description:

Los Pirineos farm has been owned by the Baraona family for more than 120 years, which had moved to El Salvador back in 1880. The current owner of the Gilberto farm represents the third generation of the Baraona family and has designed and built the state-of-the-art coffee processing specialty mill throughout Salvador.

The farm is located at the top of the Tecapa volcano, in the Tecapa Chinameca region, at around 1450 above sea level. The farm specializes in the cultivation of the Bourbon and Pacamar variety and they have the oldest seedlings of the Bourbon variety in the country. Also, the farm is experimentally introducing and growing several new varieties such as Orange Pacamara, Geisha, Bourbon Elite, Bourbon Laurina, Java and Kenya including the F1 variety.
